Accessibility Statement

Last updated: [effective date to be set on launch — to be confirmed before launch]

At WESLAMIC, our mission is to bring joy, peace, and comfort to Muslims and their families worldwide. We believe that experience should be available to everyone, including people with disabilities. We are committed to making our website, www.weslamic.com, and our store at shop.weslamic.com usable and welcoming for as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology.

Our Commitment and Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These internationally recognized guidelines help make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time project. As we continue to develop and improve our site, we work to apply these standards and to make the experience more inclusive over time.

What We Are Doing

To support an accessible experience, we strive to:

  • provide text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images and product photos;

  • maintain a clear, consistent heading structure and page layout;

  • support keyboard navigation so the site can be used without a mouse, with a visible focus indicator;

  • choose color combinations that aim to meet WCAG contrast requirements for text and essential interface elements;

  • use sufficiently large, well-spaced interactive targets (buttons and links) to make selection easier, in line with WCAG 2.2 target-size guidance;

  • design forms and checkout with clear labels, instructions, and error messages, and avoid relying on memory-based steps during authentication;

  • ensure content remains readable and usable when text is resized or the screen is small (responsive design);

  • avoid content that flashes in ways that could trigger seizures.

We also consider accessibility when selecting the third-party platforms and tools that power parts of our experience, including our storefront (Framer) and our checkout (Shopify).

Known Limitations

We are honest about where we are. Despite our efforts, some parts of the Services may not yet be fully accessible. Known and potential limitations include:

  • some third-party content, embedded widgets, or plugins may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA;

  • certain older images may be missing descriptive alt text while we complete our review;

  • some PDF or downloadable documents, if any, may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers;

  • parts of the checkout flow are provided by our payment and platform partners, and their accessibility is partly outside our direct control.

Measures and Review

We treat accessibility as part of how we build and maintain the site. As part of our process, we aim to:

  • consider accessibility during design and development of new pages and features;

  • carry out periodic reviews and testing as resources allow, including with assistive technologies where possible;

  • prioritize and address reported issues on a reasonable timeline.

We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit. [date and scope of any third-party audit / VPAT / ACR, if commissioned — to be confirmed before launch]

Remediation Timeline

When an accessibility barrier is identified or reported, we aim to:

  • acknowledge your report within 5 business days;

  • assess the issue and propose a fix or a reasonable alternative;

  • address high-impact issues that block core tasks (such as browsing, adding to cart, and checkout) as a priority, and other issues as part of our ongoing improvement cycle.

If we cannot make specific content accessible right away, we will work with you to provide the information or complete the transaction through an alternative method.

Compatibility

We aim to support recent versions of major browsers (such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) on desktop and mobile, used together with up-to-date assistive technologies such as screen readers. Older browsers or technologies may affect how some features work.

Feedback and Contact

Your feedback helps us improve. If you experience any difficulty using our website, or if you have a suggestion, a question, or need information or a transaction completed in an alternative way, please contact us — we want to help:

  • Email: service@weslamic.com

  • Phone / WhatsApp: [accessibility feedback phone / WhatsApp, once number format is confirmed — to be confirmed before launch]

When you contact us, it helps to include the page address (URL), a description of the problem, and the browser and assistive technology you are using, so we can investigate quickly.

Ongoing Improvement

This statement reflects our commitment at the date above and will be updated as our accessibility work continues. We welcome your input as we keep working to make WESLAMIC welcoming to everyone.

Barakallahu feekum for helping us make WESLAMIC accessible to all. Everyone deserves a calm, dignified experience — and your feedback brings us closer to that.
