Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here.

This page explains what data we process and why. For details on the specific cookies and similar technologies we use and how to control them, please see our separate Cookie Policy.

See our Cookie Policy for cookie details.

2. Personal Information We Collect

When we use the term “personal information,” we mean information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include information that is collected anonymously or has been de-identified. Depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live, and as permitted or required by law, we may collect or process the following categories:

  • Contact details — your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, and email address.

  • Order and transaction information — the items you view, add to your cart or wishlist, and the products you purchase, return, exchange, or cancel, along with your order history.

  • Payment information — payment card details, financial account information, form of payment, and payment confirmation. Card payments are processed by our payment providers on shop.weslamic.com; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.

  • Account information — your username, password, security questions, preferences, and settings (where you create an account).

  • Communications with us — the information you include when you contact customer support, leave a product review, or interact with us on social media.

  • Device and technical information — your device, browser, network connection, IP address, and other unique identifiers.

  • Usage information — information about how and when you interact with or navigate the Services, including data collected through cookies and similar technologies.

  • Marketing data — your preferences for receiving marketing from us and your interaction with our marketing communications.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of data (such as religious beliefs). Any cultural or faith-related content you choose to share with us (for example, in a name-necklace customization) is processed only to fulfill your request.

3. Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you — when you create an account, place an order, contact us, or otherwise provide your information.

  • Automatically through the Services — from your device when you use our products or visit our websites, including through cookies and similar technologies.

  • From our service providers — when they collect or process personal information on our behalf.

  • From our partners or other third parties — such as advertising and analytics partners.

4. How We Use Your Personal Information

Depending on how you interact with us, we use personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provide, tailor, and improve the Services — to perform our contract with you, process payments, fulfill and ship your orders, manage your account, handle returns and exchanges, enable reviews, remember your preferences, and recommend relevant products.

  • Customer support and communication — to respond to your inquiries, provide effective service, and maintain our relationship with you.

  • Marketing and advertising — to send you marketing communications by email, text message, or postal mail, and to show you relevant online advertisements, where permitted and subject to your consent or opt-out choices.

  • Security and fraud prevention — to authenticate your account, provide a secure payment and shopping experience, and detect, investigate, or act on possible fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity.

  • Analytics and product improvement — to understand how the Services are used and to improve our products, content, and user experience.

  • Legal and compliance — to comply with applicable law, respond to valid legal process, and enforce our terms and policies.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information only where we have a valid legal basis under the GDPR / UK GDPR:

  • Processing your order, payment, shipping, returns, and account — Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))

  • Customer support tied to your order — Performance of a contract / Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b), (f))

  • Fraud prevention, security, and improving our Services — Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))

  • Marketing emails, SMS, and non-essential cookies — Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — you may withdraw at any time

  • Meeting legal, tax, and accounting obligations — Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that these do not override your rights and freedoms. You may object to this processing as described in Section 9.

6. How We Share Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. In certain circumstances, we share personal information with third parties for the legitimate purposes described in this policy. The categories of recipients include:

  • E-commerce and checkout platform — Shopify (operating our checkout on shop.weslamic.com) and Framer (hosting our storefront on www.weslamic.com).

  • Payment processors — to securely process your payments. [named payment processors, e.g. Shopify Payments / PayPal / Stripe — to be confirmed before launch]

  • Shipping and fulfillment partners — carriers and logistics providers who deliver your orders. [named logistics/fulfilment partners — to be confirmed before launch]

  • Analytics providers — such as Google Analytics 4, to understand site usage (see Cookie Policy).

  • Advertising partners — such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads, to deliver and measure advertising, subject to your consent (see Cookie Policy).

  • Email and SMS service providers — to send transactional and marketing messages.

  • Professional advisers and authorities — lawyers, accountants, regulators, or law enforcement, where required to comply with the law or protect our rights.

  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or bankruptcy.

Each partner uses your information in accordance with its own privacy notice. Where you reside in a region that grants the right, you may direct us not to share your information for targeted advertising — see Section 9 and our Cookie Policy.

7. International Transfers

WESLAMIC operates globally, and your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than the one in which you live, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

Where we transfer personal information out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum), or transfer to a country recognized as providing an adequate level of protection. You may request a copy of the relevant safeguards by contacting us.

8. Data Retention

We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain your account, and comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. As a general guide:

  • Order, transaction, and invoicing records — retained for the period required by applicable tax and commercial law. [retention period, commonly 7–10 years — to be confirmed before launch]

  • Account information — retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after it becomes inactive.

  • Marketing data — retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, and for a short period thereafter to honor your opt-out.

  • Support communications — retained for a reasonable period to handle follow-up and quality assurance.

When personal information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. These rights are not absolute and may apply only in certain circumstances; in some cases, we may decline a request as permitted by law.

  • Right to delete — request that we delete personal information we maintain about you.

  • Right to correct — request that we correct inaccurate personal information.

  • Right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” / targeted advertising — where applicable, opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising.

  • Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out).

  • Right to object or restrict (EEA / UK) — ask us to stop or restrict certain processing.

  • Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): If you visit our website with the Global Privacy Control opt-out preference signal enabled, then, depending on where you are, we will automatically treat this as a request to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information for the device and browser you use. To learn more, visit globalprivacycontrol.org. Other than GPC, we do not currently respond to other “Do Not Track” signals.

Managing marketing preferences: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, or by contacting us. We may still send you non-promotional messages about your account or orders.

How to exercise your rights: Contact us using the details in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent where the law permits (with proof of authorization). We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we “share” or “sell” the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information. Card payments are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant payment providers at checkout on shop.weslamic.com. However, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee “perfect security.” Any information you send to us may not be fully secure while in transit, so we recommend you do not use unsecured channels to share sensitive information.

12. Contact Us and Complaints

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, or if you would like to exercise any of your rights, please contact us:

  • Email: privacy@weslamic.com

  • Postal address: [registered company address (same as Section 1) — to be confirmed before launch]

If you have a complaint about how we process your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the EEA, you can find your supervisory authority via the European Data Protection Board members list. In the UK, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised version on this page, update the “Last updated” date above, and provide notice where required by law.
