Product Care

A little care goes a long way. Whether you wear your piece every day or save it for special occasions, the right cleaning and storage habits keep it looking its best for years. This guide covers general jewelry care, plus specific guidance for your Zikr Ring, Tasbih, and Name Necklace. If a question is not answered here, reach our team at service@weslamic.com.

General Jewelry Care at a Glance

  • Keep it dry. Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or cleaning with chemicals.

  • Put it on last, take it off first. Apply perfume, lotion, hairspray, and makeup before you put your jewelry on.

  • Clean gently. Wipe with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth after wear. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive materials.

  • Store it separately. Keep each piece in its own pouch or compartment to prevent scratches and tangling.

  • Check the clasps and bands. Inspect clasps, links, and bands now and then so small issues do not become breakages.

Metal Jewelry — Cleaning, Storage & Preventing Tarnish

This section applies to our rings, necklaces, and other metal jewelry pieces.

Everyday Cleaning

  1. After wearing, wipe the piece with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove oils, sweat, and residue.

  2. For a deeper clean, use a soft cloth lightly dampened with lukewarm water, then dry the piece thoroughly with a separate dry cloth.

  3. Do not use bleach, chlorine, alcohol, abrasive cleaners, or ultrasonic cleaners unless we have confirmed in writing that your specific piece can tolerate them.

  4. Dry the piece completely before storing — trapped moisture is the most common cause of tarnish.

Storage

  • Store metal jewelry in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, heat, and humidity.

  • Keep each piece in its own soft pouch or a lined jewelry box compartment so pieces do not rub or scratch one another.

  • An anti-tarnish strip in your jewelry box helps slow oxidation, especially in humid climates.

Preventing Tarnish & Oxidation

Tarnishing is a natural reaction between metal and the air, moisture, sweat, perfume, and skincare products it meets. You can slow it considerably:

  • Take jewelry off before swimming, bathing, exercising, and household cleaning.

  • Apply perfume, lotion, and hairspray before putting jewelry on, and let them dry.

  • Wipe pieces down after each wear and store them dry.

  • Rotate the pieces you wear so no single item is exposed to sweat and moisture every day.

Zikr Ring — Smart Device Care

Your Zikr Ring is a wearable smart device as well as a piece of jewelry, so it needs both jewelry care (above) and the device care below.

Daily Wear

  • Wipe the ring with a soft, dry cloth after wear to remove sweat and skin oils, paying attention to any sensor or contact area.

  • Avoid dropping the ring onto hard surfaces, and keep it away from sharp objects that could scratch the finish.

  • Keep the ring away from prolonged direct heat (for example, a hot car dashboard, sauna, or direct sunlight for long periods), as heat can affect the battery.

Charging

  • Charge your Zikr Ring using the charger supplied in the box. Using third-party or damaged chargers can harm the battery and may void your warranty.

  • Make sure both the ring’s charging contacts and the charger are clean and dry before charging. Wipe away any sweat or moisture first.

  • Charge at normal room temperature. Avoid charging in very hot or very cold conditions.

  • Do not leave the ring charging unattended for unusually long periods.

Water, Sweat & Moisture

  • Always make sure the ring is completely dry before charging.

  • Remove the ring before swimming, showering, or any activity involving prolonged water exposure unless its water-resistance rating explicitly covers that activity.

When Not in Use

  • If you will not wear the ring for a while, store it partially charged in a cool, dry place rather than fully empty or fully charged.

  • Recharge it periodically during long storage so the battery does not fully drain.

Tasbih — Prayer Bead Care

Your Tasbih is made to be held and used often. Simple care keeps the beads smooth and the cord strong.

Cleaning

  • Wipe the beads with a soft, dry cloth to remove oils from frequent handling.

  • If a damp wipe is needed, use a barely damp soft cloth and dry the beads immediately afterwards.

  • Avoid soaking the Tasbih or submerging it in water, as prolonged moisture can weaken the cord and affect certain bead materials.

  • Keep the Tasbih away from perfume, alcohol, and harsh cleaning products.

Storage & Handling

  • Store your Tasbih in a soft pouch or a dedicated compartment, away from sharp objects and direct heat.

  • Handle the cord gently. Avoid over-stretching or pulling on the thread, and check the stringing now and then for wear.

  • Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade some materials over time.

Name Necklace — Personalized Piece Care

Your Name Necklace is a personalized metal piece, so the metal jewelry care above applies in full. A few extra notes for the delicate, custom-cut name section:

  • Handle the name or pendant section gently — fine cut-out lettering and thin chains can bend or snag if pulled.

  • Take the necklace off before sleeping and before activities where the chain could catch, to avoid stretching or breaking links.

  • Clean with a soft cloth, working carefully around the lettering. Avoid stiff brushes that could catch on fine details.

  • Store it flat or hung in its own pouch so the chain does not knot.

A Few Things to Avoid

To keep every WESLAMIC piece in good condition, steer clear of:

  • Water and moisture beyond what a piece is rated for — showers, pools, the sea, and sweat-heavy workouts.

  • Chemicals — perfume, lotion, hairspray, cleaning products, chlorine, and bleach in direct contact.

  • Abrasives — stiff brushes, scouring pads, and gritty cloths that scratch finishes.

  • Heat and direct sunlight for long periods, which can affect batteries, adhesives, cords, and finishes.

  • Rough storage — tossing pieces together loose, where they scratch and tangle.
